Once upon a time in Mexico..... the balance will never be restored!!! These chefs should be sainted. 27 years in texas and eating at almost every place from Austin to San Antonio to Houston and learning to outcook my hispanic husband's family recipes.... We have NEVER been so pleased with every single morsel of food. The ingredients were flavorful, the charred meat grilled to perfection. Memories of eating at your Abuelita's kitchen table and your Tio's bbq grill flood your mind. Each morsel was seasoned to perfection, simmered until perfect tenderness. Seemingly from recipes passed down and all served with Love. We had: Chunky Guacamole, tres Enchiladas, Carne Guisada plate, chips and red and green salsa. plus 2 tacos al carbon. One plate had refried beans, the other charro. The atmosphere was clean, authentic, and the staff was friendly. We were in heaven. We tipped the cooks. Even the belches on the way home tasted great!

This was hands down some of the most incredible Mexican food I've had in years! Every bite was fresh, bursting with authentic flavors, and truly mouthwatering. I tried the Burro Loco, and Chips with Salsa, and both were packed with incredible flavor. The ingredients tasted fresh, the seasoning was perfect, and the portions were generous. On top of that, the customer service was amazing—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. If you’re looking for real, high-quality Mexican food, this place is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

Great people, really deserve more respect & recognition, especially in a small town with no options of food. The food is great, service is even better. they will go above & beyond to serve you correctly, or correct anything that is mistaken, on the rare occasion it actually happens.

We had lunch there today. We thoroughly enjoyed the service and the food. Salsa was good, tacos and enchiladas excellent. And our son liked his tacos al carbon. Prices were great—they have lunch specials 7 days a week until 2 pm. You can also get breakfast past morning hours for a small up-charge, which I may do if I’m ever in the mood for some chilaquiles.

Thankful we stopped and got lunch here! Service, food, drinks, and cleanliness was too notch. Mexican and texmex gem tucked away in New Waverly. Yum

We were on our way to Dallas and that's when we decided to make a detour for an authentic Mexican food place! We found Anita and our experience was great. The food came out right away and it was delicious! We got the carne asada and the Tex Mex dinner enchiladas! I definitely recommend it

Stopped in for lunch and was blown away by how good the food is here. The restaurant interior is clean, prices are very reasonable, and staff is friendly and attentive. The food is the star of the show, though. Luckily we have friends out this way so I have an excuse to come back!
